Second Advent

I know, lots of Advent photos lately but that comes with the season.

My three girls celebrating 2nd Advent

I love the glow on their faces

An attempt to show the star shaped lantern. (flash=cheating LOL)

~¤*¤*¤~

And a bit off topic, but since I showed her last Sunday and since I cherish every day and every photo;

My little sick kitty (After dental surgery and biopsy, the
pink thing is just a collar) She's got blue eyes IRL. LOL

Unfortunately the vet called me this morning to tell me that the biopsy showed a tumor as well (on top of the dental abscess). :o( Her general condition is still vet good so far so it's not quite time to say goodbye yet. But all I can do now is to love her a lot, watch her health closely, and cherish ever day we'll get.

~¤*¤*¤~

I'm WAY behind with my secret projects at the moment. Both my own health problems and my kitty's have left no time or energy for secret projecting. The recipients of said projects have of course been warned about getting really late Christmas gifts but we've know each other for many years so they're well aware of my health problems and limitations. I still look forward to finish things though, it will turn out lovely in the end.

Seeeeeeeecrets!!!

I'm working on one of those secret projects again. You know where I tease you by talking about what I'm doing but refuse to show you anything. Muahahahaha!!! This time it's not a contest entry though, now I'm secretive for more seasonal reasons. *sneakygiggle*

I really whish I had more energy this time of the year because there's so many things I want to do, both the secret project and lots of stuff for my girls. Last Christmas I promised Isa that I would make her a Christmas dress and Pytte actually need a new one as well since the fabric in hers is so thick she can hardly move, but it was the only red fabric I had at home at the moment. I doubt I'll ever get Agnes to put on a red Christmas dress though, but who knows. LOL

Pretty in Pink

Remember that the dresses where a bit too big for Agnes? Not much of a surprise actually since I sew with a very small seam allowance which makes it a bit tricky when I use some one else's pattern with seam allowance included.

I've fixed both dresses now though but I've only got photos of the pink one so far. The lack of sunlight (or even proper daylight) makes it hard to take photos at this time of the year. Some of these photos turned out a bit dull, dark and blurry even though it was a petty decent day considering the season. It was really fun taking photos of Agnes though. She poses sooooooo well. I love that little girl!

(Photos of Agnes in the black & white dress will come later)

Ooooh, this looks interesting!

Oufff! Oummffff! Phew! *climb*

Ta daaaaa! Made it!

Agnes' boxopening!

Time for a proper boxopening today! When I saw Isa's box I was surprised at how small it was but when I saw Agnes box I became surprised at how big it was (When I got Pytte I was very much SURPRISED, never mind the box. LOL)

Cat AND box!

I've got three cats (including a curious little kitten) and they LOVE boxes, but so far I haven't been able to get a proper "cat in box" photo for any of my boxopenings. LOL

Korean news paper!

At this stage my mom, that had brought me Agnes, started to get impatient with me for opening to slowly and taking too many photos. Mind you, this is the same mom that demanded coffee before I even got a chance to start opening the box. LOL

Pretty Pink box with Flora and the classic "Litte Fee" typo.

Nice, shiny pink sleeping bag!

Awww, little bubblewrap mummy.

I'd been a bit worried that the white skin would be TOO white but as soon as I saw Agnes body I know that I loved it.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!

She had grayish default eyes

I LOVE the new ante elf face up (even though it's a bit overexposed by the flash here) The colors are soooo right for Agnes.

Look how cute she got with hair!!!

I like the green Ginarolo eyes A LOT better
(but I hate that fly away strand of hair LOL)

As you can see the top of the striped dress was a bit too big

And the black & white dress was even bigger

The pumpkin head that I got as event gift, I
haven't unpacked it since I plan to sell it.

And in case you wonder, I'm still as thrilled about Agnes today. THANK YOU Dustbunnie and Asneth for making this possible! I love you!

Isabelle by the sea

While waiting for Agnes to arrive I thought I could show you some photos from a photo hot that Isa and I did by the shore of the Baltic Sea something like a month or so after I'd gotten her.

The dress is the first thing I made for her after she'd arrived. It was just thought to be a mock up to try out the design but I realized I liked those colors so much on her that I decided to finish the dress. There's something with that dress that really fits Isa very well and that gave me a clue to her taste and style (a lot different from the white, flowy fairy style dresses I had in mind for her)

The first photo really capture the dreamer in Isa and the fourth one is one of my favorites of all photos I've taken. It's RIGHT by the water, her feet almost got wet.

On the last photo we're just resting together in the car after the hard work.

I LOVED doing this photoshot. It's really fun to take your dolls outside for a photshot "in the wild" and the Baltic Sea is a great background prop. LOL But it was also EXTREMELY hard and painful for me physically to do because of my health problems. I had to rest for a while in the car before I was capable of even driving home, when I came back home I could hardly moved and it knocked me out for pretty much a week.

I would like to take a lot more outdoors photoshots of my dolls and especially by the ocean in Isa's case (the sea shore where I live is such a dramatic landscape and Isa loves the ocean) but it's a struggle to find places that isn't too much of a strain on my health. This one was, but maybe that makes me love the photos even more, I struggled to take them and it's a once in a life time thing (at least at that particular spot).

The dress is done!

Here it is! The pink, striped dress! Finally! It's taken forever, both because I had to remove the lace from an old human garment and there's also a lot of long seems on a skirt like that, all sewn by hand, but it also took quite some time because of other, non doll related reasons.

But now when I look at it I think it's quite worth it, even if I worry if it's to cute and too pink for Agnes (Cute and pinks is just sooo me. LOL) But I guess with the right accessories it will work perfectly with her style. I really look forward to try it in SOOOOON!

BTW, a friend of mine has started her own Etsy shop. So far she sells the cutest little chrocheted Pukifee dresses and embroidered head bands in YoSD size but there will be more to come.

Agnes is in Sweden!

She arrived in Sweden today and is now handed over to customs. Ooooh, nervous!!! I hope they don't charge a huge ransom to let her go. *bitesnails* (eh, that should be read as "bites nails", not "bite snails". Yuck! LOL)

Also, I finished the pink striped dress the day I got her shipping notice but I've been to lazy/busy to take photo of it for the blog. I will take one later today though because I've promised to show it to my mom. LOL

Shipping Notice!!!

I've just gotten my shipping notice from Fairyland!!! Little Agnes is on her way!!! Yay!

She's still in Korea of course but she's on her way! :o)

It's a good thing I'm nearly done with the striped dress. LOL (And of course she's got then black & white dress waiting for her as well) But I'd better keep on sewing today (I came a long way with the dress yesterday)

She's on her way!!!

New fabric!

My mom's been visiting a big Sewing Festival and of course she brought me some gifts; Faaaaaabric!!! Two fabrics to use for Agnes (although I might use the pink one for Pytte as well) and a sparkly fabric for Isa.

With flash, here the colors are pretty correct

Without flash but here you see the sparkles better

I've been sewing a bit more on the striped dress for Agnes but I don't have any photos to show right now. It's far from done (hand sewing things like lace takes TIME! LOL)

Pytte's real first dress

The dress Pytte came with didn't fit very well and it also felt very synthetic/plastic and her default Red Bell outfit just wasn't her style at all. This meant that I had to hurry up and make a dress for her ASAP since I hadn't been able to prepare anything before her arrival (unlike "The Spoiled One" that will have a full wardrobe when she arrives LOL)

This is my first puki dress (pattern by me)

Pytte still didn't have any hair at that time. Poor little thing!

Stripes and cats

As some of you might know I've just gotten a brand new little kitten (I've had her for 1½ week now) An adorably cute little things that loves to cuddle with her "mommy" and unfortunately is a little bit too curious about my dolls. And like my old cats she's very interested in joining in as soon as I bring out the camera. It's a little bit hard to take photos when she's trying to run away with the pieces of fabric I'm trying to take pictures of though. LOL

The only cat photo that didn't turn out blurry. LOL

And one of the rare cat free ones

This is the beginning of the striped LittleFee sundress I told you about earlier. If I can keep Smulan (the kitten) from eating it I will give it a striped skirt as well but then I will probably had to add some black details as well or else it will probably be TOO cute for my LittleFee. LOL

BTW, my mom's found me this pink and white striped hair band thingy to use as fabric (it's knit, unlike the fabric I'm using now). Yay!

And finally some good LittleFee news! I've gotten confirmation from Fairyland that they've gotten my money so this time the order went through properly. Yay again!!! I'm now officially in the group of dolly waiters. (For those of you not familiar with this hobby, it involves A LOT of waiting. The dolls are hand made after you've ordered them)

More LitteFee news!

Today I had to re-order my LittleFee! *sigh* For some reason my previous order didn't go though completely. But this time I got a confirmation mail and an order number so it should hopefully work better. It feel a bit frustrating that I all of a sudden got 10 more days added to my long wait. But then I also got the opportunity to change my mind so this time I ordered a white skinned Ante Elf instead. (Believe it or not, I'm the person in my family that's best at making up my mind, that should tell you a lot about my mom and my brother. LOL)

This week I've finally finished the little sun dress I've been working on (based on a pattern made by Sweetiemom BTW). Or well, I'm cheating TINY but, the shoulder straps are only fastened with pins in the front I don't want to sew them on to the front until I'm able to actually try the dress. (They will look more even in length then)

My mom surprised me with some socks to use as fabric...

... which immediately resulted in a pair of LittleFee socks

And today I've started sewing on a second sundress for my spolied girl in pink and white (the striped fabric found here. No preview photos yet though (I've only sewn a shoulder strap so far, not much to show. LOL)

At the moment I'm thinking about maybe making dresses for Isa and Pytte in the same fabric. I'm pretty sure I'll make one for Pytte at least but Isa might be too old for "matching outfits". On the other hand it IS a cute fabric....

The sock dress - PHOTOS

Yay!!! The sock contest it over and I'm now allowed to show Pytte's little dress. I'm sure that Pytte will be thrilled that she no longer has to be wrapped up in toilet paper for her photoshots. LOL

The winner of the contest was one of my favorites, soooo impressive. I just wish they had runner ups as well because there were a huge amount of very fantastic outfits.

I kind of like it better from the back. LOL

And guess what????? *crazybounceofhappiness* Fairyland's "Summer" Event will begin tomorrow!!!! I will finally be able to order my LittleFee!!! And to make things even better The Swedish krona is A LOT stronger compared to the US dollar now than it was in the middle of July when the event was supposed to take place. This means that I will get the doll a lot cheaper now (we're talking AT LEAST the cost of a face up cheaper, maybe even more).
