The world's smallest snowman

Remember I promised you to show you how badly dressed poor Pytte was on HER winter photos? I fell like SUCH a bad dollie mama for this! *blushes* LOL This was the winter of 2008 and a lot warmer than this winter though and pukis seems to be a hardy breed because Pytte doesn't look to be nearly as frozen as poor Agnes. She even took the time to build the world smallest snowman. (He really WAS small, if you're not familiar with pukis they're about 10cm high)

Poor Pytte, look at her bare arms and legs! But she IS cute!

The world's tiiiiiniest snowman!

Afterwards Pytte curled up in Isa's lap to get warm

BTW, I've decided to join a really small grouporder (a group of two LOL) to get some new hands for Agnes (You didn't actually think I could post en entire entry without mentioning her , did you? LOL) I've never been too fond of her right hand, the pose is too unnatural and rigid and I find it hard to pose her right arms on photos because of this, so now when Fairyland decided to sell hand separately I just have to get her a better hand.

Second Advent

I know, lots of Advent photos lately but that comes with the season.

My three girls celebrating 2nd Advent

I love the glow on their faces

An attempt to show the star shaped lantern. (flash=cheating LOL)

~¤*¤*¤~

And a bit off topic, but since I showed her last Sunday and since I cherish every day and every photo;

My little sick kitty (After dental surgery and biopsy, the
pink thing is just a collar) She's got blue eyes IRL. LOL

Unfortunately the vet called me this morning to tell me that the biopsy showed a tumor as well (on top of the dental abscess). :o( Her general condition is still vet good so far so it's not quite time to say goodbye yet. But all I can do now is to love her a lot, watch her health closely, and cherish ever day we'll get.

~¤*¤*¤~

I'm WAY behind with my secret projects at the moment. Both my own health problems and my kitty's have left no time or energy for secret projecting. The recipients of said projects have of course been warned about getting really late Christmas gifts but we've know each other for many years so they're well aware of my health problems and limitations. I still look forward to finish things though, it will turn out lovely in the end.

Advent 2008

Here's the 2008 photos as I promised. If you ask me they all (eh well, ALMOST all LOL) turned out better than the one from last Sunday. But it's fun to spit the changes in my living room and doll family.

1st Advent

2nd Advent

3rd Advent

4th Advent

To quote what I posted at BJF: "Well, what can I say, the photographer
got a little shaky when one of the cats jumped up next to the candles. LOL
The blob next to the exotic flames is said cat. LOL"

First of Advent

In Sweden it's common to light a new "Advent-candle" each Sunday before Christmas and celebrate with glögg*, saffron buns and gingerbread cookies and last Sunday was First of Advent. Since I took photos of my doll family with the candles last year I decided to do the same this year as well. (extremely blurriness is just to expect in this case since I don't use flash and it's DARK, it's part of the charm and atmosphere.)

Well, I cheated here and used the "party lights" setting on my
camera so it uses a bit of flash. The candles on the TV are electric
(Note the kitten in the corner LOL)

This one is taken in only the light of the candle on the table, the
candles on the TV and an "advent star" lantern hanging in the window.

This cat is easier to spot (don't worry, I'm VERY careful with cats
and burning candles) She's been sick lately and if feels important
to include this photo even if she's hopefully getting better now.

I will do my best to post the Advent photos from 2008 as well later, but it all depends on my health. You can see bigger versions of the photos at Ball Jointed Friends (as well as take a sneak peak of the 2008 photos)

*Glögg is a very traditional Swedish Christmas beverage, the "adult" version is heated, spiced up wine and the "kid" version that I drink is usually based on blackcurrant juice instead

Seeeeeeeecrets!!!

I'm working on one of those secret projects again. You know where I tease you by talking about what I'm doing but refuse to show you anything. Muahahahaha!!! This time it's not a contest entry though, now I'm secretive for more seasonal reasons. *sneakygiggle*

I really whish I had more energy this time of the year because there's so many things I want to do, both the secret project and lots of stuff for my girls. Last Christmas I promised Isa that I would make her a Christmas dress and Pytte actually need a new one as well since the fabric in hers is so thick she can hardly move, but it was the only red fabric I had at home at the moment. I doubt I'll ever get Agnes to put on a red Christmas dress though, but who knows. LOL

Spampy clothes!!!

Yay!!! Yesterday I got my Spampy clothes!!! As you might remember I got a gift certificate to Spampy Stuff from my friends and now the clothes have arrived. And of course they're really, really cute and really well made.

The photos are a bit "less than cute" though. I'm sure you'll soon get tired of me complaining of "lack of light" at this time of the year, but ot really is the truth (if you've ever visited Sweden in November you will know what I mean). This time the flash decide to act up as well so most of the photos ended up quite dark and strange, instead of really bright and over exposed which is a more common problem with white dolls. I've been able to fix them up a bit in Psp but I REALLY need a better camera (6 years is OLD in the world of digital cameras) But anyway, just focus on the lovely dresses instead of the crappy photo quality and you'll be fine. LOL

First an adorable cure little cardigan for Pytte
(The dress is by me)

Pytte absolutely LOVES it and now she demands that I sew her a longer, purple dress with less width in the skirt to go with the cardigan.

BTW, those lovely hair clips were a surprise gift from Spampy. I'm THIS close of stealing them from my dolls to use for myself. LOL

The rest of the stuff were for "the Spoiled One".. eh, I mean Agnes. LOL

A wonderful cardigan (the black details were Spampy's own initiative which of course is JUST right for Agnes and I'm a sucker for details like the black ribbon on the front edge) and some really cute little undies with tiny hearts (I really want my dolls to wear proper underwear) and some striped stockings. These aren't supposed to be a full set though, she's supposed to wear more clothes as well. LOL

A lovely little knit dress with star patterns and
sparkly tulle + the striped socks (necklace by me)

This is a dress in woven fabric with silver skulls. Perfect for Agnes!
I love how the collar turned out and the little ribbon at the waist.

She's also wearing a pair of surprise pantyhose that matches the cardigan

Isn't this knit fabric just right for Agnes with both
skulls, roses and hearts? Pure love!

The striped fabric is the same as the stockings.
I love the ribbon used for the neckline

My sweet little girls together!

I'm very pleased with everything (except the photo quality LOL). Thank you Asneth, Dustbunnie and Spampy!!!

Now I need to create something for poor left out Isa... I just need to finish some Christmas gifts first... and yes Pytte, I WILL make you that dress... SOME day. LOL

Black & White - almost

I just realized I had an old "playing around in Psp"- photo of Pytte as well.

An hair-rising experience

I guess this turns in to a Pytte marathon. LOL But I feel that these three post belong together, they're all about Pytte's first time in my home and her finding the right look.

Pytte really hates being bald so we were both really happy when her gorgeous Tropical Fruit Punch wig arrived from Tinybear. I really love all the different colors used! But unfortunately the wig was WAY too long. That's something you have to be prepared for when you get a mohair wig for a puki but I didn't expect the wig to be a lot longer than Isa's. This unfortunately meant that I had to cut it a bit and because of that it lost some curls and some colors.

Can you tell that it's REALLY looooong?

I tried braids at first to see if i could keep
the length but they became too thick and heavy.

Drying the wig! LOL

To get a mohair wig to fit really well you can wet the head cap and let it dry in place. Since the wig was a lot longer than Pytte (and wet) I placed her in a toilet paper roll to keep her upright, otherwise she would get knocked over.

Looooooooong! But the colors are lovely!

After it's been cut, still long but not longer than Pytte anymore

This is how much I cut off (it's a coffee plate)

Cute!!! Now she looks like my Pytte!

As you can tell the wig is pretty straight so these days I usually style it a bit to get it to be curly.

Pytte's real first dress

The dress Pytte came with didn't fit very well and it also felt very synthetic/plastic and her default Red Bell outfit just wasn't her style at all. This meant that I had to hurry up and make a dress for her ASAP since I hadn't been able to prepare anything before her arrival (unlike "The Spoiled One" that will have a full wardrobe when she arrives LOL)

This is my first puki dress (pattern by me)

Pytte still didn't have any hair at that time. Poor little thing!

Pytte's boxopening

I just realized that I never got around to post Pytte's boxopening. Poor neglected little thing! It's less fancy than Isa's boxopening though since Pytte was a surprise birthday gift from Asneth (I've said it before, I DO have the best friends) and the photos are taken with an unfamiliar camera (and one by Asneth, that was even less familiar with the camera).

Last year Asneth came to visit me on my birthday. She KNEW I wanted a puki and she'd even made sure to ask me what puki I wanted "in case I could ever afford to get one" so let's say that Pytte was a VERY much appreciated birthday gift. Actually, most of the photos from her boxopening are of me smiling like crazy but since I refuse to show photos of myself on the net you'll never get to see those. LOL

The box! At this stage I still didn't know what it was.

It's a puki!!!!! (Pytte is a Red Bell Full set)

This is as much of me you'll ever get to see (unless you meet me IRL LOL)

Pytte is trying out her pukisha ears. I love the ears but she DOESN'T.
The dress and shoes (not seen here) are gifts from Pytte's previous owner.

Pytte in Isa's lap and Isa's looking all sad and mopey.

Isa REALLY didn't like the idea of Pytte moving in with us! Let's just say that both Asneth and I got a first hand demonstration that these dolls DO have a mind on her own when Asneth placed Pytte in Isa's lap and Isa actually SLAPPED Pytte and knocked her out of her knee. Yes, she moved! On her own! And shocked both Asneth and me! LOL Afterwards Isa of course claimed that it was just tight elastics in her arm that made her arm move, she would of course NEVER slap someone intentionally. But it took about 6 months before they become friends so there WAS a clear disapproval.

What a difference a familiar camera makes!

Pytte's default wig really didn't fit. It kept popping off all
the time so Pytte ended up bald while waiting for a better wig.

The default eyes were just the color I wanted though.
(No slapping this time. LOL)

The sock dress - PHOTOS

Yay!!! The sock contest it over and I'm now allowed to show Pytte's little dress. I'm sure that Pytte will be thrilled that she no longer has to be wrapped up in toilet paper for her photoshots. LOL

The winner of the contest was one of my favorites, soooo impressive. I just wish they had runner ups as well because there were a huge amount of very fantastic outfits.

I kind of like it better from the back. LOL

And guess what????? *crazybounceofhappiness* Fairyland's "Summer" Event will begin tomorrow!!!! I will finally be able to order my LittleFee!!! And to make things even better The Swedish krona is A LOT stronger compared to the US dollar now than it was in the middle of July when the event was supposed to take place. This means that I will get the doll a lot cheaper now (we're talking AT LEAST the cost of a face up cheaper, maybe even more).

Dollie Meme - Answer in character

We have a doll meme going on at Ball Jointed Friends where you're supposed to answer you your doll's character and I though I should post the answers here in the blog as well.

This is a fun way to get to know the dolls's characters a bit more, especially Pytte's. A lot of who Isa is doesn't show up in the meme since she's quite shy.

If you want to reply to the meme elsewhere please remove the "additional questions" at the bottom added by forum members and add your own instead. Comments in brackets are made by me (out of character so to say).

Your name?
Pytte

What do people call you?
Pytte (But some people on forums call me Pyette, they can't spell LOL)

Your age?
I'm a PUKI, I don't have a human age. Puki ages are different

What do you like?
Flowers, dragonses, having pretty hair, cuddle, my friend Assam, my human Fia, my bunny Mr Bun, getting new clothes, people that like pukis... I like many things!

Do you have a significant other?
A signaling other? What's that? Some one you send signals to? I don't send signals to anyone I talk to them.

What type of person do you like (romantically or otherwise)?
I like nice people that are nice to their dolls, the nature and all the animals and people that like pukis, and people that rescue abandoned dolls from the marketplace and Auntie Asneth because she rescued me and then gave me shoses.

What type of person don't you like? (romantically or otherwise?)
People with too big hand that think pukis are too small, people that don't like pukis, people that sell their dolls, people that are cruel to dolls and animals, people that drop their dolls, people that think that just because you're small and cute and talk like a puki you're stupid.

Your favorite movie?
My Fia doesn't watch a lot of movies so I never get to see them. I whish I could see more movies. I like cartoonish movies like... Shrek. Yes, all the Shrek movies are my favorites

Your favorite song?
Änglamark It's a Swedish song about being nice to the nature and flowers and animals

What's your favorite food?
Strawberries and parsley

Please come out and tell us one secret about yourself.
I'm really afraid if falling, but that's not really secret. Everyone knows that. LOL

Tell us the name of the doll that maybe coming next
I think she will be called LittleFee.

If you were to metamorphize your favorite doll as an object, what would s/he be? (this answer is from your doll! Not you!)
My favorite DOLL is Mr.Bun, he's a bunnie. But my favorite friend is Assam, she would be... oooooooh, can I show an image instead? Can I? Can I? Can I?????

(Hint: To understand this you might want to read...)

Noooooo! Don't give them hints! Humans need to think sometimes too! It's good for you, you know!LOL

What do you think is your 'charm point'?
I'm a puki, do I need more? LOL

What colour do you like?
Pink and purple, green with frogs (and with cats but mostly frogs) blue, turquoise I like rainbow colors and flower colors but not orange and red (even though some flowers are orange and red and the rainbows too, but I like my red Christmas dress) and colors like bubblegum and ice-cream and things like that. But not the ice-cream my Fia likes because she mostly eats white ice-cream with brown patterns.

If you were going to have a makeover, what would you like to change?
I would like to get a new, more curly wig in the same color. I had hoped that my Fia would order a new wig for me when she ordered one for the new doll that will be called LittleFee but I think she forgot. *sigh*

Dodo's additional question* Where would you like to do a photo shoot?
I like photoshots with flowers so on our balcony or in a garden, or maybe somewhere in the nature if it's safe and I can't fall.

Dustbunnie's additional question* If you could get something new what would it be?
Spampy clothes!!!!!! And new shoeses! And a new wig! And a puki friend. And an one of those umbrella thingies you put on your back if you fall from a plane to use for photoshots, if I fall.

Kirika's additional question* Where would you like to go?
Some place where everything would be just the right size for pukis

Pytte's addintional question* Have you been abandoned by a previous owner?
My first owner didn't like me! *cry* She said I was too small and she kept me in my box all the time and didn't play with me because I was small. Then she sold me and Auntie Asneth rescued me and helped me to move to my Fia instead. I like my Fia, she's really nice and she's got small hands (for being a human) and she like small things like pukis, but I can't help that sometimes I worry that she will think I'm too small and sell me too even if she say that will never happen.

BTW, my Fia says you should only give short replies in memes but I don't like short replies, you can't tell people anything if you only give short replies so I don't care what she says. After, she's only human. LOL

~¤*¤*¤~

Your name?
Isabelle

What do people call you?
Isa

Your age?
19

What do you like?

Do you have a significant other?
No. *sigh* *swoon*

What type of person do you like (romantically or otherwise)?
Romantically I like big SD guys. *swoon* Nice and romantic guys
In general I like calm, nice and smart people and generous and caring people of course

What type of person don't you like? (romantically or otherwise?)
Pushy people, bullies, people that try to control what you're thinking, smelly people, spoiled rich girls, greedy people

Your favorite movie?
I like romantic movies but I don't have a favorite.

Your favorite song?
I am Sailing by Rod Stewart
(Huh? I had no idea)

What's your favorite food?
I like gourmet food, like tasty little pieces of various dishes prepared by high quality chefs. (The food, the trees in the park and the library are the only things I miss from growing up)
(Again, I had no idea)

Please come out and tell us one secret about yourself.
I grew up in an orphanage. It was a strange place. I also went to one of the worlds finest private schools. They were both run by the same people. I don't like to talk about this at all. *blush*

Tell us the name of the doll that maybe coming next
I think she will be called Agnes, Peggy or Saga and but I still hope Fia will change her mind, 2 dolls are enough.

If you were to metamorphize your favorite doll as an object, what would s/he be? (this answer is from your doll! Not you!)
A stag! *dream* Eh... I mean... I mean.. Pytte would be an energizer bunny. *blush*

What do you think is your 'charm point'?
I don't think I have one, but I'm at least nice and smart

What colour do you like?
Pale colors, white, blue, pink and gray the most

If you were going to have a makeover, what would you like to change?
My knees! I would like the old style knees and I would like my floppy foot fixed and I would also love a body blush.

Dodo's additional question* Where would you like to do a photo shoot?
I would love to to another photoshot by the ocean

Dustbunnie's additional question* If you could get something new what would it be?

Pytte's additional question* Have you been abandoned by a previous owner?
No, only by my parents.

Isa's additional question*
I don't have one. *blush* But I have a hint for you; if you didn't understand Pytte's photo, go read her reply to Assam. But don't tell her I told you. LOL
